The Canfor Cherry Tree

In commemoration of the inaugural Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival the Canfor Cherry Tree Planting Dedication planted this new little akebono cherry tree donated by the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation on March 16, 2006 on the upper lawn at Burrard Skytrain Station. This photo shows its first bloom ten days after it was planted!
